TreeOperator
Why TreeOperator exists

I know growth.
You know trees.

TreeOperator is where those two worlds meet, honestly, practically, and with the numbers on the table.

A note from Colton

Hey, I'm Colton.

I spent years working in tree service, close to the crews, equipment, customers, and daily realities of the trade. I came away with a real love for tree work and deep respect for the people who build companies around it.

I later spent years professionally managing digital advertising, studying customer acquisition, and digging through marketing data. That became another kind of work I love.

TreeOperator grew from bringing those experiences together. I have seen how powerful channels like Google Local Services Ads can be when they are working, and how much money businesses can waste when marketing is not connected to actual jobs.

My advantage is not simply knowing marketing. It is understanding how marketing translates into phones ringing, estimates, booked tree jobs, and revenue.

So I started TreeOperator. I am going to document what I am learning, test new ideas, analyze what is working across the industry, and share it with tree-company owners.

No pretending I know everything about running a tree company. I know growth. You know trees. I think there is a lot we can learn from each other.

Built from real context

Not a view from the sidelines.

The publication is grounded in the practical questions that show up around real equipment, real crews, seasonal demand, missed calls, and expensive acquisition decisions. The job is to translate data into something an owner can use Monday morning.
